Blaze Rips Through Bexleyheath Care Home Hairdresser – Dozens Evacuated!
Massive Fire Alert on Woolwich Road
Chaos erupted on Woolwich Road, Bexleyheath, as a fire broke out at a hairdresser located inside Park View Care Home. The London Fire Brigade scrambled eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to the scene after the first call came in at 11:26 a.m.
Dramatic Rescue as Flames Engulf Building
Before firefighters even arrived, roughly 30 people fled the building to escape the smoke and flames. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus braved heavy smoke to rescue four trapped individuals and safely lead another three out of danger.
Emergency Services Swarm Scene – Road Closures and Bus Diversions in Place
Firefighters from stations including Eltham, Bexley, and East Greenwich fought the blaze alongside police and paramedics. The cause of the fire remains unknown as emergency teams battle to bring it under control.
The public is urged to steer clear of Woolwich Road due to ongoing operations and partial road closures. Bus routes 301 and 401 have been rerouted via Mayplace Road West, Erith Road, and Long Lane.
On the ground floor, there was heavy smoke logging,” a London Fire Brigade spokesperson said. “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued four people from the building and led three more to safety.”
