Tragic Loss on London-Bound M2
Flight attendant Heidie Lee Locke, 50s, died instantly in a fatal collision on the London-bound carriageway of the M2. The United Airlines crew member was behind the wheel of a red Nissan Qashqai when a red Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG smashed into her car. Paramedics fought to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless and intoxicated driving. The shocking crash shut down London-bound lanes for ten hours while police carried out a full investigation.

“She was a lovely woman whose life was tragically cut short,” said Teresa Delafons, a close coworker. “Heidi was always up for a laugh and kept us entertained on flights. Everyone who knew her will miss her terribly.”
Heidie started her career at Pan Am before joining United Airlines, based in London.
Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers believe this witness could hold key information. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) also want to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.
