Chaos hit Glasgow Airport this morning after a security alert on an EasyJet plane flying in from Gatwick sparked a full lockdown. The aircraft had just touched down when the crew raised the alarm shortly after 10.30am.
Flights Grounded as Emergency Services Swarm
All flights in and out of Glasgow Airport were immediately halted, with emergency teams rushing to the scene. The scare was triggered by a suspicious package found onboard the plane.
Package Declared Safe, Airport Reopens
Thankfully, officials later confirmed the package was safe, allowing the airport to resume normal operations. A spokesperson said:
“The package was declared safe and the airport has now reopened.”
