The hospital has slammed the Royal College of Nursing strikes, warning of “serious concerns about safely staffing the hospital” during the walkouts.
“This is not a lightly taken step, but patient safety is our top priority,” the hospital stressed.
What Is a Business Continuity Incident?
The NHS defines a business continuity incident as “an event or occurrence that disrupts (or may disrupt) an organization’s normal service delivery below acceptable predefined levels.”
It means special emergency measures must be rolled out until services return to safe, acceptable standards.
