Workers Stumble Upon Gruesome Find
Ground workers prepping a nearby building site made the grisly discovery around 11am, uncovering badly decomposed human remains hidden in undergrowth next to the Tesco Extra petrol station at North Harbour.
Police Seal Off Area, Forensics on Scene
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed they were called to the Clement Attlee Way store at Cosham shortly after 11am. A police spokeswoman said:
“We were called following the discovery of what appears to be human remains. Officers are at the scene and a cordon has been put in place to protect the area.”
The cordon stretches from the remains site past a planned McDonald’s location to the petrol station exit. Despite the closure, the petrol station remains open, with customers being redirected back to the entrance after refuelling.
