Two Boys Hospitalised After E-Scooter Smash in Ilford
Two 14-year-old boys were rushed to hospital after a serious e-scooter crash rocked Ilford this Thursday afternoon.
The smash happened just after 3.40pm on Ilford High Street, close to Fremantle Road junction. Emergency crews scrambled to the scene where the teens were found injured. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Man Arrested for Dangerous Driving
The Metropolitan Police have arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving linked to the collision. He is now in custody as enquiries continue.
“Police were called to a road traffic collision involving an e-scooter and two pedestrians in High Street, IG6 at 15:43hrs on Thursday, 27 March.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and two boys, both aged 14, were taken to hospital. We await an update on their condition.
A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
Road closures remain in place.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Investigations are ongoing.
