Sheerness Lifeboat Scrambles to Rescue Adrift House Boat on River Medway

The RNLI Sheerness Lifeboat was urgently deployed just after midnight on Tuesday to rescue a massive 44ft house boat drifting dangerously on the River Medway.

House Boat Breaks Free from Marina

Volunteers jumped into action after the vessel broke its moorings at Medway Bridge Marina. The boat was left adrift in the early hours, posing a serious hazard on the busy river.

Uncertainty Over Crew on Board

At this stage, it remains unclear how many people, if any, were on the house boat when it floated free. Rescue teams are continuing their efforts as investigations unfold.
