Historic Setting for a Historic Event
“We are absolutely delighted to be staging the last of our pop-up museum touring events before we re-open the Mary Rose Museum back home in Portsmouth,” said Paul Griffiths, head of operations at Mary Rose Museum. “Where better to host such a spectacle than at Southsea Castle, where on that fateful day in 1545 Henry VIII watched in horror as his flagship, the Mary Rose, sunk before his eyes in battle with the invading French fleet. This two-day event promises to be amazing and we hope as many people as possible will come down to take part in the fun.”
The pop-up museum runs from 10am to 5pm both days. Entry is free — so don’t miss out!
