Bomb Squad Called In at Imperial War Museum

The Metropolitan Police sealed off the historic Lambeth museum and deployed specialist officers, including the bomb disposal unit, to inspect the package. A large police presence was spotted surrounding the museum shortly after the alert.

No Injuries but Traffic Chaos

A Met Police insider said:

“Police were called to the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth following reports of a suspicious package. The building has been evacuated as a precaution while specialist officers assess the item.”

Thankfully, there have been no injuries. The evacuation was handled calmly and efficiently. However, roads near the site – including key sections of Lambeth Road – have been temporarily shut, causing local traffic disruption.

Public Told to Avoid Area
