Brick-Throwing Maniac Targets M2 Motorists!
Terrified drivers on the M2 have faced a terrifying brick-throwing attack, with windows smashed and lives put at risk. Police are urgently hunting the culprit after multiple reports of bricks hurled from a bridge and a roadside near Sittingbourne.
Bricks Rain Down on M2 – Witnesses Speak Out
- On Sunday 3 October 2021, at about 5.40pm, officers received three reports of vehicles on the M2 beneath Sawpit Road bridge having their windscreens and windows smashed. No one was seen on the bridge at the time.
- Then, on Wednesday 6 October at 4.41pm, two more attacks were reported. This time witnesses caught a man throwing bricks from Ruins Barn Road directly into the path of lorries. One lorry had its window smashed.
Police Warn of Deadly Dangers
“These reports are really concerning, and this type of behaviour is very reckless and has the potential to cause fatalities,” said Chief Inspector Joel Mitchell, Kent Police’s District Commander for Swale.
“Not only can those responsible cause serious injuries to innocent people but they also risk a potential prison sentence.”
