A fire tore through a shop on Ripple Road, Barking, just after 7am on March 7, 2025. The London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene near Vicarage Drive and the St Paul’s Road roundabout with a strong emergency response.

Residents Evacuate, No Injuries Reported

Sixteen residents living in the flats above the shop were evacuated before firefighters arrived, London Fire Brigade confirmed. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the blaze.

Investigators have now opened a formal inquiry to find out what sparked the fire.
