Jet2 Cancels Mainland Spain Holidays Until End of October

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have scrapped all holiday packages to Mainland Spain—Malaga, Alicante, and Barcelona—up to and including 31 October 2020. If you’re booked to travel before then, your trip is officially off.

The airline is already reaching out to affected customers to sort things out.

Canary Islands and Croatia Flights Also Grounded

Following current FCDO travel advice, Jet2 has suspended all flights to the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote) until 12 September 2020. Meanwhile, flights to Mainland Spain remain suspended through to the end of October.

The Balearic Islands—Ibiza, Majorca, and Menorca—are also out of the picture, with flights cancelled until 30 November 2020. Croatia’s hotspots Dubrovnik, Split, and Pula won’t see Jet2 planes up to 31 October either.

No Fuss, No Fees: Jet2 Offers Flexible Refunds

Jet2 says it’s committed to looking after customers. Those affected can rebook without admin fees, grab a Refund Credit Note, or get a full cash refund.

“We know how much our customers look forward to their well-deserved holidays,” Jet2 said, adding they’re disappointed but focused on safety.

Bright Spot: New Flights to Greece, Turkey, and Portugal

Looking for a getaway? Jet2 is launching hundreds of new flights to sunny destinations in Greece, Turkey, and Portugal, giving holidaymakers more options to book or rebook their summer 2020 breaks.

The situation remains fluid, with the airline monitoring government updates closely. Jet2 urges UK officials to adopt targeted travel advice instead of blanket bans to help Brits get back on holiday sooner.
