Smoking Materials Blamed for Bedroom Blaze
The fire is believed to have started accidentally, linked to smoking materials. Firefighters issued a stark reminder to smokers:
- Always ensure cigarettes, cigars, or pipes are fully extinguished before leaving the room or going to bed.
- Use sturdy, heavy ashtrays that won’t tip over and are made from non-flammable materials.
- Consider placing ashtrays outside before bedtime to reduce risk.
