NHS Covid-19 App Now Live for Over-16s in England and Wales! Stop the spread faster with the brand-new NHS Covid-19 app – your quickest and safest way to check your coronavirus risk.

What Can the App Do?

  • Send alerts if you’ve been near someone with Covid-19
  • Reveal local Covid risk levels by postcode
  • Let you check into venues using official NHS QR codes
  • Help you check symptoms and book tests
  • Offer self-isolation advice with countdown timers

Built with Apple’s privacy-focused tech, the app doesn’t track your location or spy on your identity. It only tracks the virus, not you.

Why Surrey’s Public Health Boss Is Urging You to Download

“The app is the next step in the fight to stop the spread of Coronavirus in Surrey,” says Ruth Hutchinson, Director of Public Health. “The more Surrey residents that download it, the longer we can keep Surrey safe.”

“Contact tracing is vital to beating infection. The quicker you know you’re at risk, the faster you can protect loved ones. Lockdowns were tough – let’s do all we can to avoid them.”

New Legal Rules: Venues Must Display NHS QR Codes

From today, certain venues must show NHS Covid-19 QR posters for easy check-ins via the app. This includes:

  • Bars, pubs, hotels, cafes
  • Museums, galleries, gyms, leisure centres
  • Local authority buildings and places of worship
  • Close contact services
  • Event locations

Many workplaces will also voluntarily display QR codes to help fight Covid. Don’t miss out – download the app and stay safe!
