Massive Delays Slam M25 Anti-Clockwise in Kent
Drivers on the M25 anti-clockwise in Kent are stuck in brutal jams, facing delays of more than 90 minutes. The worst hold-ups stretch from Junction 4 (Orpington) all the way to the A282 near the Dartford Crossing. Traffic is gridlocked on one of the busiest sections of the orbital motorway due to an unprecedented surge in vehicles.
National Highways Issues Diversion
National Highways has rolled out a diversion to ease the snarls. Motorists are urged to plan their trips carefully and set aside extra time. Follow the hollow square diversion signs and take the alternative route:
- Leave the M25 at J4 and take the first exit onto the M25 link road towards London
- At Hewitts Roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the A224 towards Orpington
- Continue on the A224, then at Crittall’s Corner roundabout, take the third exit onto the A20
- Rejoin the M25 at Junction 3
Travel Tips: Avoid the Chaos
Drivers are advised to reroute, delay travel if possible, or find alternative roads to steer clear of the mega-queues.
“If this closure impacts your planned route, please allow extra journey time,” said a National Highways spokesperson. “Plan ahead, consider re-routing or delaying your journey.”
