Cyclist Dies After Horror Crash in New Forest

A cyclist has tragically died following a collision with a car in the New Forest tonight. The smash happened at around 6.45pm on Hilltop, Beaulieu, near the Royal Oak pub.

Man in His 60s Dies After Collision

The male cyclist was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but sadly passed away shortly afterwards. Police say the victim is believed to be in his 60s. He had a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm and was riding an older style bike with racing handlebars.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Inspector Andy Storey said: “We are still trying to identify the cyclist. If you think you know who he is, please get in touch.”

He added, “The collision happened close to the Royal Oak public house. Anyone who saw anything should contact us immediately.”
