Man dies in tragic Hanwell house fire

Blaze rips through West London home

A man has died following a devastating house fire on Humes Avenue in Hanwell, West London. Flames tore through the ground floor of a terraced house early on Saturday, 4 May 2025.

Fire crews race to the scene

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called at 5:32am and had the fire under control within 21 minutes by 5:53am. Around 15 firefighters from Ealing and Southall fire stations tackled the blaze with three fire engines.

One man dies, another hospitalised

Tragically, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another escaped the fire and was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews. The cause of the fire is now under urgent investigation.

Authorities issue safety warning

The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service are probing the blaze. Officials urge all residents to check their smoke alarms and follow essential fire safety advice to prevent further tragedies.
