Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Gosport in the early hours of this morning. Officers were called to Willow Place at around 1.30am today (February 17) to reports of a break-in. A man, who had his face covered, forced his way into the house and threatened occupants with a knife. The man searched through the house, before leaving on foot. At this stage nothing appears to have been stolen. DC Gary Tomlinson said: “Our investigations are continuing today and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen someone running away from the area or hanging around in the hours before the incident. “We know such a crime will be upsetting for residents but we are working hard to find those responsible and if you saw something, no matter how insignificant it seemed at the time, please get in touch.” Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101, quoting 44190057788, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
