Massive blaze tears through waste recycling centre in early hours! Firefighters battled blazing inferno at Nobel Road recycling plant, tackling flames that have engulfed 100 tonnes of mixed waste.

Huge Firefighting Operation Underway

At around 3:30am, London Fire Brigade was called out to a major fire at the recycling centre. Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters rushed to the scene from Edmonton, Enfield, Chingford, and nearby stations. They are working flat out to bring the situation under control.

Residents Warned to Stay Safe

Thick smoke is pouring out of the site, prompting local authorities to urge nearby residents to keep doors and windows shut. The heavy smoke and ongoing emergency response have also led to traffic disruptions along the A1055, as crews continue their relentless work.

Investigation Launched into Cause

The exact cause of the fire remains a mystery. Fire investigators suspect it may have started from an unattended candle or incense stick igniting textiles, but inquiries are ongoing.
