Passenger Dies After Medical Emergency at Norwood Junction Station
Emergency services scrambled to Norwood Junction station at around 7:30am on March 13 after a passenger suddenly fell ill.

London Ambulance crews rushed to the scene, including a medic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. Despite their swift and skilled efforts, the individual was tragically pronounced dead at the station shortly after arrival.

British Transport Police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. The incident caused service disruptions at Norwood Junction until approximately 10:30am, but train services have now returned to normal.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.” British Transport Police added, “Officers were called following reports of a medical emergency. Paramedics attended quickly but were unable to save the person.”
