Tragedy in Peacehaven: Woman in 40s Dies Despite Emergency SOS

Emergency crews were called to a flat on Lake Drive, Peacehaven, in the early hours of Wednesday morning after concerns for a woman’s welfare.

Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb), and the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance scrambled to the scene. Paramedics fought to save the woman’s life with CPR, but she was sadly pronounced dead at the location.

No Foul Play, Case Now with Coroner

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police were called following concerns for the welfare of a woman in her 40s at a flat in Lake Drive, Peacehaven, in the early hours of Wednesday, July 31. Despite the best efforts of paramedics who commenced CPR, the woman was sadly declared deceased.

There are no suspicious circumstances and this will now be a coronial matter.”
