Brutal Attack Leaves Man with Serious Facial Injuries

Lincoln Crown Court heard how James Sneddon, 52, launched a vicious assault on a 59-year-old man at a property on Commercial Road on the afternoon of May 13.

Repeated Kicks to the Head Cause Severe Damage

The attack happened just before 1.40pm. Emergency services rushed to the scene and found the victim with serious facial injuries, including a large gash above his left eye. Sneddon had repeatedly kicked the man in the head, leaving him badly hurt.

The victim was taken straight to Queen’s Medical Centre for urgent treatment.

Sneddon Jailed for Seven and a Half Years

Sneddon, who has no fixed address, was sentenced to seven and a half years behind bars by a judge at Lincoln Crown Court.

Detective Sergeant Remy Simon said: “The sentence reflects the extreme level of violence used during the incident. This was an attack on someone who was unable to defend themselves and has had long-lasting consequences.”

“I hope this sentence serves as a warning that this kind of violence will not be tolerated in our county.”
