Hamas Head Mohammed Sinwar ‘Alive and Hidden in Gaza Tunnels’

Israeli intelligence claims Mohammed Sinwar, a Hamas chief declared dead in 2014, is very much alive. Spies say he’s been hiding out deep in Gaza’s tunnel networks. Sinwar is suspected to be a key mastermind behind the brutal October 7 attacks on Israel.

A former Mossad counter-terror chief said Sinwar was “100%” part of the core team behind the assault. Meanwhile, his brother Yahya Sinwar leads Hamas in Gaza and is Israel’s most wanted terrorist.

Faked Death and Shadowy Appearances

Back in 2014, Hamas shocked the world by announcing Sinwar’s death, even releasing a bloody photo of him lying down. Since then, Mohammed Sinwar vanished from public view—save for a mysterious silhouette seen in a brief Al Jazeera interview last May. The Israeli military has now reignited their manhunt.

Hostage Talks Stalled, Netanyahu Hints at Possible Deal

Reuters reports Hamas has paused hostage negotiations with Israel. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains cautiously optimistic. On NBC’s Meet The Press, he said a deal “could be” on the table and claimed Israeli forces have “a great deal” of intel on hostage locations.

Netanyahu added that no breakthrough came until Israel launched its ground offensive in Gaza. Current estimates suggest around 239 hostages remain trapped inside the Palestinian territory.

No Confirmation on Gaza Hospital Evacuations

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is unable to verify any evacuations from Gaza’s al Shifa Hospital. While Israel says there’s a safe corridor for civilians to leave, ICRC spokesperson Ala’a Nayel warns no evacuation has been confirmed yet.

“Evacuations must be carried out safely to avoid risking civilian lives,” Nayel stressed. “Both sides have a moral and legal obligation to protect human life.”
