Motorbike Rider Hospitalised After Shocking Christmas Day Crash in Beckton

A motorbike rider was rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle smash on the A124 Barking Road in Beckton on Christmas night. The crash happened near the junction with Arragon Road and Central Park Road around 10:15 p.m.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Police were first on the scene and administered first aid before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service took over. The rider, believed to be on a recently registered 24-plate motorbike, was then rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

Road Closure and Ongoing Investigation

The crash has forced the closure of the A124 Barking Road in both directions while police investigate. Drivers are warned to expect delays and seek alternative routes.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers responded to reports of a motorbike collision on Barking Road. The rider was treated at the scene and taken to hospital. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.”
