Tragic Death on Wollaton Tracks: British Police Hunt Dead Man’s Family
British Transport Police (BTP) are urgently searching for relatives of a 34-year-old man who died on the railway tracks in Wollaton, Nottingham.
Man Found Dead on Railway in Wollaton
Officers were called to the scene at around 2.30pm on Thursday, 14 August after reports of a casualty on the railway. Paramedics rushed to help but sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious, with a file now passed to the coroner.
Victim Identified as Iranian National
The victim has been named as Javad Pierovy-Khah, a 34-year-old Nottingham resident originally from Hamedan, Iran. He is believed to have arrived in the UK in 2005. Mr Pierovy-Khah was around 5ft 9ins tall, of average build, with short black hair, and wore a blue hoody at the time of his death.
Family Still Missing – Police Appeal for Help
Despite extensive inquiries, officers have so far been unable to locate any relatives or next of kin to inform about the tragedy. A British Transport Police spokesperson said:
“This is a deeply tragic incident. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to identify or contact any family members of Mr Pierovy-Khah. We are appealing to anyone who may know his relatives or have information to come forward.”
