Suspicious Blaze Erupts in Birchington: Horsebox and Trailers Torched
Police are hunting for answers after a suspicious fire ripped through a Birchington site in the early hours of Tuesday, November 15.
Early Morning Fire Spreads Rapidly
Kent Police were alerted around 3.20am that a horsebox was ablaze on St Margaret’s Road. Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene and doused the flames that had leapfrogged onto several trailers and nearby trees. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Detectives Probe Cause, Seek Witnesses
Officers believe the fire started before 3am and are treating it as suspicious. Detectives have scoured the site, hunting for clues to crack the case.
They’re urging locals to come forward if they saw two individuals lurking nearby just before the blaze.
