Urgent Search Underway for Missing Woman Sarah Everard
Sarah Everard, 33, vanished after leaving a friend’s house in Clapham on the night of Wednesday, 3 March. Around 9pm, she walked out of Leathwaite Road onto the busy A205 South Circular, heading for her Brixton home.
Last Seen Near Clapham Common
Believed to have crossed Clapham Common, Sarah was expected home within 50 minutes. But she never arrived, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Family Pleads for Help
“With every day that goes by we are getting more worried about Sarah. She is always in regular contact with us and her friends—it is totally out of character for her to disappear like this,” said her family.
“We long to see her and want nothing more than for her to be found safe and well.”
“We are so grateful to the police and all our friends for their efforts. If anyone knows anything about what has happened to Sarah, please come forward. No piece of information is too small.”
Police Launch 24/7 Search, Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Kenward of the Central South Public Protection Team said: “Sarah’s disappearance is completely out of character. Her family and friends are incredibly worried, and so are we. Officers are working round the clock to locate her.”
He urged anyone in the Clapham Common area on Wednesday night to think carefully if they saw Sarah or anything suspicious.

Police are checking doorbell and dashcam footage from the following locations:
- A205 South Circular near Clapham Common
- Cavendish Road
- New Park Road
- Brixton Hill
- Brixton Water Lane
Sarah was last seen wearing a green rain jacket, navy blue trousers with a white diamond pattern, turquoise and orange trainers, green earphones, and a white beanie hat.
Search Teams Scour Area
Specialist officers and London Search and Rescue volunteers are combing Clapham Common and Sarah’s likely walking route to Brixton.
