Tragic M40 Crash: One Dead, One Critical After Horror Collision
A fatal smash on the M40 left one man dead and another critically injured last night.
Deadly Collision Near Warwick Services
The horror unfolded just before 10.15pm on Tuesday, 19 November, between junctions 12 and 13 northbound, close to Warwick services. Four vehicles slammed into each other: a Peugeot Partner van, two artic lorries, and a VW Golf.
Young Driver Dies, Van Driver Serious but Stable
The VW Golf driver, a man in his 20s, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but later tragically died. His next of kin have been informed. The Peugeot van driver, a man in his 40s, remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Warwickshire Police have launched a probe into the crash. PC Drew Ballantyne said:
“While investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, we are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage of it to please come forward. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this time.”
Road closures were in place as emergency crews worked the scene.
