Massive Cannabis Blaze Sends Smoke Plume Across North London
A huge cloud of cannabis smoke has been spotted miles away after a massive fire tore through a business park in Park Royal. The blaze broke out inside an industrial unit reportedly packed with cannabis plants, sparking a full-scale emergency response.
100 Firefighters Battle Giant Blaze on Abbey Road
Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters rushed to the scene on Sunday morning to tackle the inferno at North 1 Business Park. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed the industrial fire started at 9:19am and was brought under control by 1:32pm.
The LFB warned locals: “Smoke can be seen from miles around. Please avoid the area if possible.”
Road Closures and Warnings as Cloud of Cannabis Smoke Spreads
Coronation Road is currently closed in all directions near Abbey Road, with motorists urged to seek alternative routes. Businesses in the area reported the unit was crammed full of cannabis plants, adding to the intensity of the blaze and the notorious smoke cloud.
Salvation Army Steps In as Firefighters Suffer ‘Munchies’
In an unusual twist, the Salvation Army turned up to assist firefighters after some reportedly felt the effects of the cannabis smoke while battling the fire. The blaze damaged multiple industrial units, and the cause is still under investigation.
