Person Struck by Train Between Minster and Wye

Emergency services rushed to the railway line between Minster and Wye this Saturday afternoon following shocking reports that a person was hit by a train.

Train Chaos on Southeastern Network

The incident has slammed train services on the Southeastern route, causing severe disruption between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West. All lines are currently closed as emergency crews work at the scene.

“A person has been hit by a train between Minster and Wye. So that the emergency services can safely carry out their work, all lines are closed,” a Southeastern spokesperson confirmed.

Passengers face cancellations, delays of up to an hour, route revisions, or diversions through Dover Priory. Disruption is expected to last until around 5pm.

Rail services between London St Pancras International and Margate, as well as between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate, are heavily affected.

Southeastern urges travellers to allow extra time and check the Live Departure page for real-time updates.

“We are very sorry for the disruption caused. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic incident,” Southeastern added.
