Half-term holiday is ending, but drivers in South East London and North Kent face a nightmare on key routes. Expect delays and closures on the M25, A2, and A21 due to essential overnight roadworks.

M25 Closures Hit Hard This Weekend

  • From 11pm Friday, February 16, the M25 will see multiple clockwise and anticlockwise lane closures at key junctions, running through the weekend.
  • Anticlockwise closures hit junctions 27 to 25 between 11pm Friday and 5am Saturday. Diversions will be enforced.
  • Entry slip road at junction 26 and exit slip road at junction 3 anticlockwise will also shut on Friday night.
  • Clockwise carriageway closed from junction 27 to 28 overnight Friday into Saturday.
  • The crucial anticlockwise link road from junction 6 to the M11 southbound closes all weekend for testing works.

A2 Route Faces Overnight Mayhem

  • Eastbound closures from Brenley Corner to Roman Road run 8pm Friday to 6am Saturday.
  • Westbound shutdowns from Bean to Darenth also hit over the same nights, with diversions in place.
  • Additional closures target westbound Three Crutches roundabout to M2 link road and Tollgate entry slip road overnight Friday.

A21 Under the Hammer With Nightly Works

  • Both directions between Hurst Green and Baldslow will be closed nightly from 8pm to 6am Friday through Sunday.
  • Diversions set up to ease traffic jams during these repairs.
