Police Hunt Man After Rush-Hour Sex Attacks on Central Line Tube
Police are on the lookout for a man after three women were sexually assaulted on a packed Central line Tube train during the morning rush hour.
Sex Assaults Reported Between Stratford and Bank
Detectives revealed the attacks happened on July 30, between 7.40am and 8am. The victims were assaulted on the busy train from Stratford to Bank over a 20-minute spree. British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have key information.
Anyone who recognises this man is urged to come forward. Contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 170 of 30 July 2024. Alternatively, you can report anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
More Rush-Hour Attacks Under Investigation
The Tube isn’t safe — investigations are also underway into sexual assaults at North Greenwich station on the Jubilee Line earlier this month. Multiple attacks took place between 7am and 8am on July 11. Police urge anyone with information or victims yet to come forward to contact them immediately.
“Don’t be That Guy,” police have warned men to question their behaviour towards women, highlighting a growing concern about harassment on public transport.
