Hit-and-Run at Chelmsford Roundabout – Police Hunt Driver
Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a hit-and-run collision at the Army and Navy roundabout in Chelmsford.
Crash Details
The crash happened at 1.05pm on Thursday 17 December at the entrance to Van Diemans Road while traffic lights were red. A dark-coloured vehicle collided with a black Vauxhall Antara, damaging the Antara’s rear bumper.
The driver of the dark-coloured vehicle initially stopped but then sped off along Parkway, disappearing from the scene.
Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. But police need your help to catch the fleeing driver. If you were in the area and spotted the crash, or recorded it on dashcam, call Essex Police on 101 quoting incident 499 of 17 December.
