Tragic Strood Crash: Cyclist Dies After Collision
A cyclist in his 70s has died following a shocking collision in Strood on Tuesday morning.
Collision Details
At around 11.20am on 14 May 2024, the man was riding a black bike along Canal Road towards the High Street. He collided with the driver’s door of a stationary blue MG ZS opposite Strood railway station’s entrance.
Emergency services rushed to the scene. The cyclist was taken to hospital but sadly later died from his injuries.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are also asking for any dashcam footage that could help piece together what happened.
