Man Found Unconscious After Glasgow Train Incident

A 48-year-old man was discovered unconscious on Shore Street, Gourock, around 9pm on Saturday, 10 December 2022. He had just got off a train from Glasgow Central Station and suffered facial injuries. He was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.

Police Hunt Group of Young Men Over Train Disturbance

Detective Constable Ruth Elder of 1 CID revealed police want to speak to a group of young men linked to the incident. One man seen on the train was described as a white male in his 20s, slim build, dark hair, and wearing a dark coat.

“He seemed alone on the train but joined other casually dressed men outside Gourock Station after getting off,” she said.

Public Appeal: Have You Seen Anything?

Several bystanders helped the injured man, and police have spoken to some witnesses. Officers are now reviewing local CCTV and urge anyone who was on the train or near Shore Street that night to come forward.
