Nicola Bulley’s Body Found in River Wyre

The search for missing mother Nicola Bulley ended in tragedy yesterday. Her body was recovered from the River Wyre in Lancashire, more than three weeks after she vanished.

Nicola, 45, disappeared after dropping her two daughters at school and taking her dog, Willow, for a walk. Police confirmed the grim discovery at a press conference.

“Sadly, we are now able to confirm that yesterday we recovered Nicola Bulley from the River Wyre,” police said. “Her family have been informed and are devastated. Our thoughts remain with them, Nicola’s loved ones, and the wider community of St Michael’s.”

Family Breaks Silence Amid Media Storm

Nicola’s family released a heartfelt statement expressing their heartbreak and calling out intrusive media coverage.

“Our Family Liaison officers confirmed our worst fears today. We will never fully understand Nicola’s final moments, and that pain will stay with us forever,” the family said.

“Nikki was the centre of our world – she made our lives special. Nothing will ever change that.”

“Our girls will get the support they need from those who love them most. It saddens us that the press and public wrongly accused their dad and vilified friends and family. This is absolutely appalling and must never happen again.”

“We asked for privacy but faced relentless contact from Sky News and others chasing stories. It’s shameful and we demand to be left alone now.”

“To those who supported us privately, thank you. St Michael’s community, neighbours and strangers have been a comfort in this dark time.”

“To other families with missing loved ones – keep hope alive.”

“Finally, Nikki, you are no longer missing. You can rest now. We love you, always have and always will.”

Investigation Continues Under Coroner

The case has now been passed to HM Coroner for further investigation. Police thanked the public for their help throughout the complex and emotional search.

Nicola Bulley’s tragic case has touched hearts across the UK, highlighting the devastating impact on families and communities left behind.
