Police hunt owners of dented Fiat Punto linked to Welling arson attack

Fiat Punto caught in fiery crime

Police have released images of a light blue Fiat Punto, believed to be the Grande model, following a shocking arson attack at a Welling home. The car has a distinctive dent on its front right wheel arch and is thought to be in the south east 1 area covering Welling, Bexleyheath, Dartford, or Greenwich.

Blaze breaks out on South Gipsy Road

The London Fire Brigade called cops at 11.06pm on Wednesday, 14 July, after a car was set ablaze on South Gipsy Road, Welling. Firefighters and police managed to put out the fire by 12.30am. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident, which police are treating as arson.

Police plea for witnesses

Detective Sergeant Danny Banks, Serious and Complex Investigations Unit, said: “Our officers have been working tirelessly to piece together what happened. We’re now zeroing in on this car and need to identify it ASAP. If you recognise this vehicle, please come forward.
