Police Have Launched An Investigation Following The Rape Of A Woman In Norwich

The incident happened at a property in Norwich in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 30 October 2022.

A man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre. He remains in custody.

The victim, a woman aged in her 20s who was dressed in black and wearing a waist-length black puffer jacket, had been out in Norwich city centre celebrating Halloween on the evening of Saturday 29 October. At around 01.00 on Sunday 30 October, she was walking along Thorpe Road, near to Lower Clarence Road, when she was approached by a man driving a silver Nissan Qashqai.

Detective Inspector Kevin Barber from Broadland CID said, “I would like to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who saw the woman or the silver Nissan Qashqai in the area around this time.”
