Police Hunt Serial Sex Attacker Terrorising Lewisham
Lewisham police are in hot pursuit of a serial sex attacker targeting women in Ladywell. The man has been linked to a string of disturbing sexual assaults by touching, with incidents dating back to December 2017 and the latest just last month.
CCTV Released of Suspect
Officers have released CCTV footage of the suspect and urged the public to help identify him. Described as a light-skinned black male, aged 18 to 30, he’s slim, around five feet tall, and sports a three to four inch afro.
He often wears a dark jacket with the hood up, dark trousers or jeans, trainers, and sometimes gloves.
Police Step Up Patrols as Investigation Intensifies
“These incidents were very traumatic for the victims,” said Detective Constable Tristan Hunter. “We urge anyone who recognises the man to come forward immediately so he can be caught and brought to justice.”
The detective added the attacks may be linked, as victims have given similar descriptions of the attacker. Police have increased patrols in the area and are closely working with the community to offer reassurance.
