Emergency services scramble after car smashes into Lime bike on Rookwood Road, N15
Crash sparks chaos at Egerton Road junction
A car collided with a Lime bike at around 9:10pm tonight on Rookwood Road, near the Egerton Road junction in N15. The smash has blocked the road in both directions, causing major delays.
Police have sealed off the area as they tackle the scene, with significant traffic snarls reported.
Bus routes hit hard by closure
Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that bus routes 318 and 349 are disrupted:
- Route 318 is cut short at Tottenham Swan.
- Route 349 also terminates at Tottenham Swan, running diversions via Rookwood and Ravensdale roads.
Motorists and commuters are urged to find alternate routes immediately.
Emergency crews on site
The Hatzola emergency service is on scene assisting. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for an official update but so far no injuries have been confirmed.
TfL update: At 9:21pm, TfL issued diversion reference D77402 confirming changes to route 318.
