Horsham Man Found with Serious Head Injuries – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Sussex Police are hunting for answers after a 52-year-old man from Horsham was found with severe head wounds under mysterious circumstances.
Shocking Discovery After Pub Visit
Emergency services were scrambled on Friday, 16 May, following reports that the man had suffered deep cuts to the back and side of his head. He had spent time earlier that day at the Tipsy Fox pub on Worthing Road, Southwater, but can’t recall how he got hurt.
The man turned up at the pub around midday, walking his dog. He stayed for about an hour before heading to a nearby property within a 10-minute walk. He vanished for roughly three hours and returned bearing serious head injuries.
Paramedics rushed him to hospital where more injuries were found. He remains under medical care, still unable to explain what happened.
Police Desperate to Trace Man’s Whereabouts
Sussex Police are pounding the streets trying to piece together the events between 1pm and 4pm on 16 May. They want to know how he sustained his traumatic injuries.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the man, or who has any information that could help us establish what happened. If you can help, please contact us online or call 101 quoting reference 1180 of 16/05,” said a police spokesperson.
Calling Witnesses and CCTV Owners
The man, often seen walking with his dog, may have appeared disoriented or injured during the missing hours. Police urge local businesses and residents near the Tipsy Fox pub and Southwater village centre to check any CCTV or dashcam footage from the afternoon of 16 May and come forward.
This is a fast-developing case, and police are working hard to solve the mystery behind the serious injuries.
