Northumbria Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a man in connection with a serious assault that occurred at the Whickham House Pub on Bensham Road, Gateshead.
On Saturday, August 24, at approximately 10.30pm an unprovoked attack took place inside the premises. According to reports, a male suspect punched another man in the face without provocation, resulting in severe injuries to the victim.
The victim suffered a broken jaw as a result of the assault and was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is recovering from his injuries.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may have crucial information about the incident. The individual pictured was in the vicinity of the Whickham House Pub at the time of the assault.
