Red Arrows Hawk Crashes at RAF Valley – Pilot Ejects Safely
A dramatic incident rocked RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales, as a Red Arrows Hawk jet crashed on Tuesday afternoon. The pilot reportedly ejected from the aircraft, with emergency crews rushing to the scene.
Emergency Response at RAF Valley
The Ministry of Defence confirmed the crash involved a Hawk aircraft. An air ambulance and emergency ambulance team were scrambled at around 1:30pm to assist. It’s understood two people were on board the plane during the crash.
RAF Valley’s Vital Role
RAF Valley is a key training base for UK fighter pilots, specialising in mountain and maritime operations. The site houses roughly 1,500 personnel, including service members, civil servants, and contractors.
RAF Statement on the Crash
“We are aware of an incident today at RAF Valley involving a Hawk aircraft,” said an RAF spokesman. “We are investigating the incident and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”
