A huge fire erupted at a warehouse in Chatham Docks at around 4 a.m. this morning (June 25), sparking a major emergency response. Kent Fire and Rescue deployed ten fire engines, a bulk water carrier, a high volume pump, a height vehicle, and a specialised technical rescue team to tackle the blaze.

Residents nearby have been warned to keep all windows and doors tightly shut as thick smoke still billows across the skyline. Despite the chaos, crews are making “good progress” in extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters Attack Blaze From Air and Ground
Teams have surrounded the warehouse and are attacking the fire using hose reels, main jets, and ground monitors. They are also using aerial resources to douse the flames from above, steadily gaining control over the situation.
