Firefighters Battle Blaze Since Dawn

A huge fire erupted at a warehouse in Chatham Docks at around 4 a.m. this morning (June 25), sparking a major emergency response. Kent Fire and Rescue deployed ten fire engines, a bulk water carrier, a high volume pump, a height vehicle, and a specialised technical rescue team to tackle the blaze.

Smoke Visible for Miles – Residents Urged to Stay Safe

Residents nearby have been warned to keep all windows and doors tightly shut as thick smoke still billows across the skyline. Despite the chaos, crews are making “good progress” in extinguishing the fire.

Firefighters Attack Blaze From Air and Ground

Teams have surrounded the warehouse and are attacking the fire using hose reels, main jets, and ground monitors. They are also using aerial resources to douse the flames from above, steadily gaining control over the situation.

No Injuries Reported – Cause Unknown

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. Fire officials are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. Kent Fire and Rescue thanks the public for their patience amid a surge of emergency 999 calls related to this incident.
