Man Missing After Plunging Into River Teifi in Cardigan

Dyfed-Powys Police have halted their river search for the night after a man reportedly jumped into the River Teifi near Castle Street bridge early this morning. Despite a massive hunt involving boats, drones, helicopters, and crews on foot, the man remains missing.

Full-Scale Hunt Launched After Dawn Incident

The alarm sounded around 5:15am when witnesses saw a man enter the water. Authorities scrambled fast. Police teamed up with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard for a coordinated search along the riverbanks and waters.

Police Warn Public to Keep Clear of River Banks

Safety is paramount, say officials, urging locals and visitors to steer clear of the river area while the search continues. Rescue teams will be back at the scene first thing in the morning to resume efforts.
