Major Junction Shut After Serious Collision

Commuters faced chaos this morning as the junction of Great Dover Street and Marshalsea Road remains closed. Borough High Street is shut both ways, causing heavy traffic jams. Police have cordoned off the area after a serious crash outside Borough Station.

12-Year-Old Cyclist Injured in Horror Smash

The Met Police confirmed officers were called at 8:10am on Wednesday, November 30, following a collision between a lorry and a 12-year-old boy on a bike at Marshalsea Road’s junction with Great Dover Street.

“Police, the Ambulance Service, and London Air Ambulance all rushed to the scene. The cyclist is receiving treatment on site. The lorry stopped at the location immediately,” a police statement said.

Traffic Nightmare to Continue – Avoid the Area

Southwark Police have urged drivers to steer clear of Borough High Street, Great Dover Street, and Marshalsea Road “for the foreseeable future. The crash investigation is ongoing, and road closures remain in place.
