Chaos in Southwark: Major Crash Closes Key Roads
This morning, the busy junction of Great Dover Street and Marshalsea Road remains shut after a serious collision. Borough High Street is also closed both ways, causing huge traffic jams as police tape off the area.

Southwark Police’s Central South unit confirmed officers are at the scene of a major crash. They urge drivers to steer clear of Borough High Street, Great Dover Street, and Marshalsea Road “for the foreseeable future.
Lorry and Cyclist Crash – Young Boy Injured
The Met Police say they were called just after 8.10am on Wednesday, November 30, after a lorry collided with a 12-year-old cyclist at the Marshalsea Road and Great Dover Street junction.
“Police were called at approximately 8.10am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a cyclist,” the Met Police statement reads. Officers, the Ambulance Service, and the London Air Ambulance all responded to the scene.
The young cyclist is being treated on-site. The lorry stopped immediately and remains at the scene. Road closures are still in place while police investigate.
