Japanese Navy in Shock After Deadly Helicopter Crash
Tragedy hit the Japanese navy when two SH-60K helicopters collided and plunged into the Pacific Ocean during a nighttime training flight south of Tokyo. Each chopper carried four crew members. The crash has claimed one life, while seven others remain missing.

Admiral Ryo Sakai, leading the navy’s 123-unit, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and vowed to investigate thoroughly. “We are committed to uncovering the cause and implementing all necessary safety measures to prevent a repeat,” he said.
