Shoreham Lifeboat Crew Juggle Three Emergency Calls in One Afternoon
Shoreham’s all-weather lifeboat crew were kept busy on Thursday afternoon with three urgent call-outs in quick succession.
Powerboat Breakdown Near Hove
The lifeboat first launched to help a 16-metre powerboat suffering machinery failure about four miles south of 123 entering the water off Brighton beach.
The lifeboat launched their inflatable Y boat to conduct a close-shore search, supported by Brighton Lifeboat.
False Alarm Ends Nightmare
Fortunately, the scare was a false alarm and no child was missing.
Shoreham Lifeboat Station urges: “If you see someone or a vessel in trouble in the water, always call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
