Witchy Drama Domino Day Casts BAFTA-Nominated Star in Lead Role

Set and filmed in Manchester, the new six-part supernatural thriller Domino Day stars BAFTA nominee Siena Kelly (Adult Material, Hit & Run) as the mysterious Domino Day. But forget love – Domino isn’t using dating apps to find Mr Right. She’s hunting.

Witch on the Warpath

Domino is a young witch with extraordinary powers, desperate to find a community that understands her. But a dangerous coven is already on her tail, convinced she must be stopped before her powers unleash destruction on everyone and everything around her.

Just when Domino thinks she might catch a break, a threatening figure from her past resurfaces. Will this spark a new beginning, or a showdown to end it all?

Star-Studded Cast Brings the Coven to Life

Siena Kelly leads a stellar cast including Babirye Bukilwa (We Hunt Together, Neighbours), Poppy Lee Friar (In My Skin, Life And Death In The Warehouse), Alisha Bailey (Call the Midwife, Strike), and Molly Harris (Industry, Monsoon) as members of the witchy coven.

Joining them are Sam Howard-Sneyd (Clarity and Chaos, The Children), Percelle Ascott (The Innocents, I Came By), Christopher Jeffers (Rocketman, Coronation Street), Jonah Rzeskiewicz (Death on the Nile, The Dig), Maimuna Memon (Sherwood, Lazarus), and Kris Hitchen (Trigger Point, Four Lives).

Creator & Producers Praise Show’s Unique Twist

“I’m over the (full) moon to be doing this project with the BBC and Dancing Ledge Productions,” said creator Lauren Sequeira. “I wanted to write a supernatural series that’s thrilling and twisty but also taps into the real dating scene and how it shapes modern relationships.”

“When I saw Siena Kelly, I knew she was my Domino. She effortlessly shows strength and vulnerability in just one look. The rest of the cast – Percelle, Sam, Babirye, Alisha, Poppy, Molly – are brilliantly cool, edgy, and witchy. I can’t wait for the world to meet them.”

Executive Producers Laurence Bowen and Chris Carey added: “Producing Lauren’s first original series in Manchester is a dream. Domino Day blends powerful real-world themes with supernatural thrills – witches, dating, and owning your truth – all brought to life by Siena Kelly and a fantastic ensemble cast. Bring it on!”

BBC Controller of Youth Audiences Fiona Campbell said: “Domino Day is like no other show. Lauren’s scripts perfectly mix everyday life with the supernatural. It’ll be relatable and thrilling for BBC Three viewers. We’re excited to announce such a talented cast.”

Domino Day is currently filming across Manchester and will premiere soon on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
